The pirates are ranked from most senior to least senior.
The most senior pirate proposes how to divide the coins, and then all pirates vote.
If at least half of the pirates vote yes, the proposal passes.
If not, the proposer is thrown overboard, and the next most senior pirate makes a proposal.
All pirates are perfectly logical and care about, in order:
- Staying alive
- Getting as much gold as possible
